The Philadelphia Computer Measurement Group (PHILACMG) has been serving performance, capacity planning and other IT professionals in the Philadelphia/New Jersey/Delaware region since 1983, and is one of the most successful and innovative regional CMG groups.

PHILACMG's active membership consists of about 250 capacity planners, performance specialists, managers and other technicians. They come from as far as Delaware, central Pennsylvania, and northern New Jersey. A diverse program is always provided, ranging from traditional mainframe topics to database issues, application performance, network, storage, service levels and platforms such as UNIX and NT.

Our meetings have featured presentations such as:

• Kathy Walsh, IBM, on the zIIP and zAAP processors
• Cheryl Watson, presenting her “Hot Flashes”
• Don Deese, Computer Management Sciences, on the zAAP processor

PHILACMG holds 4 reasonably priced meetings per year, including our popular November T-shirt meeting, in a centrally located Philadelphia hotel. Meetings average 30-40 attendees, include a sit-down lunch and plenty of time to exchange ideas with speakers and other attendees. Each meeting also includes a Featured Vendor session, in which one vendor presents its products and services to the attendees.
