Speaker: Frank Bereznay, Kaiser Permanente
In a perfect world, one would always know the answer to that question. Unfortunately, nobody works in a perfect world.
This presentation will compare and contrast statistical techniques used to look for deviations in data values that are due to assignable causes as opposed to the normal day to day variation that is present in most instrumentation data. Hypothesis testing, Statistical Process Control, and Analysis of Variance will be explained and analyzed. Sample SAS code to perform the analysis will be provided along with suggested reporting packages. Exploratory data analysis techniques will be used to help build data populations for analysis purposes.
