Presenters
GBCMG
members are IT professionals committed to the measurement and management
of computer systems. CMG members are primarily concerned with performance
evaluation of existing systems to maximize performance (eg. response
time, throughput, etc.) and with capacity management where planned enhancements
to existing systems or the design of new systems are evaluated to find
the necessary resources required to provide adequate performance at a
reasonable cost.
Would you like to share
your successful computer system measurement and management techniques with
the group? Would you like to suggest a presentation topic? Contact gbcmg@cmg.org.
Presentation
Preparation
Technical presentations at regional chapter meetings must adhere to
the national CMG presentation standards that forbid direct product
marketing. The one exception applies to the meeting Premier sponsor.
For the regional meetings you do not need a paper; you just need a
presentation. Many authors find the region is a good place to try out
their material before preparing papers for the national conference.
The CMG national conference
paper information can be found at http://www.cmg.org/conference/cmg2004/
CMG has an excellent mentor program for aspiring authors. Check this out
at http://www.cmg.org/conference/cmg2004/mentor.html
Sponsors
Sponsor vendors receive table and display space in our meeting break
area where they are able to interact with attendees during meeting and
lunch breaks. Please check with us
regarding sponsoring fees.
At each meeting we highlight one premier sponsor who, in addition to
the above, also receives a speaking slot where they can present their products
and services. A small additional
fee is associated with Premier sponsorship.
